Celebrity Gogglebox 2024 cast: meet the new and returning stars

The new series of Celebrity Gogglebox is in full swing on Channel 4 and we've been loving watching some of our favourite stars give their take on the week's TV.

The popular spin-off show kicked off earlier this month, introducing a handful of fresh faces to the cast, including Mel B and Bobby Brazier. They join the likes of returning stars such as Jennifer Saunders and her daughter Beattie, Rylan and his mum Linda, and Happy Mondays stars Shaun Ryder & Bez.

Mel B and her daughter Phoenix Chi

Mel B – aka Scary Spice – is joined by her 25-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, in the new series, which marks the first time the mother-daughter pairing has teamed up for a TV programme.

Phoenix, whose father is Mel's ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, is following in her mother's footsteps as a music DJ. She also appeared as a contestant on ITV's celebrity sports show The Games in 2022.

Jeff and Bobby Brazier

After impressing show bosses on 's Stand-Up to Cancer special in autumn last year, father-son duo Bobby and Jeff Brazier have returned for the new series.

Speaking about their appearance in the charity special, Jeff and Bobby explained that it was a cause "incredibly close" to their hearts following the death of Bobby's mum Jade Goody from cervical cancer in 2009.

"It's for a great cause, I can't wait to just sit down in front of the TV and relax for once," Bobby said. "It's been a long time since we've sat in front of the TV and done nothing together."

While Jeff is known for his long-standing presenting career and is often featured on , his son Bobby made his name playing Freddie Slater in the BBC soap

The 21-year-old also competed in the latest series of and finished as runner-up with his dance partner Dianne Buswell.

Rio and Kate Ferdinand

Husband and wife Rio and Kate Ferdinand make their debut this series. While Rio is known for his impressive footballing career, Kate made her name on the reality TV show, , and is now an author.

The couple are parents to baby daughter Shae and three-year-old Cree, while Kate is also a step-mum to Rio's three children Lorenz, 17, Tate, 15, and Tia, 12, from his previous marriage.

Kadeena Cox & Lauren Steadman

Paralympians Kadeena Cox and Lauren Steadman are another new pairing settling down on the sofa.

Kadeena, 33, is a four-time Paralympic gold champion. She won medals in both cycling and athletics at the 2016 and 2020 Paralympic Games. The athlete is no stranger to reality TV, having appeared on both ITV's and the BBC's in 2021.

Meanwhile, Lauren is a double Paralympic medallist after winning gold in Tokyo and silver in Rio. Like Kadeena, Celebrity Gogglebox isn't Lauren's first TV stint. The 31-year-old competed in the 16th series of in 2018, making it to the semi-finals with pro dancer AJ Pritchard, before going on to reach the final of in 2020.

A host of familiar faces are back on our screens in the new series, including Jennifer Saunders and her daughter Beattie Edmondson, father-daughter duo Danny & Dani Dyer, Rylan and mum Linda, Diversity stars Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, and comedians Babatunde Aléshé and Mo Gilligan.

Viewers can also expect to see Zoe Ball and her son Woody, Jane McDonald and her bestie Sue, Happy Mondays' Shaun Ryder & Bez, Chris Packham CBE and his step-daughter Megan, radio DJ Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv, and podcaster Fearne Cotton and Gok Wan.

Rounding out the cast are Clare Balding and her wife Alice Arnold, Stephen Mangan with his sister Anita, Martin and Roman Kemp, Ellie Simmonds and Richie Anderson, Miquita & Andi Oliver, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, Judi Love and Charlene White, and Melanie C and her brother Paul.
