Lisa Niemi spoke about "letting go" regarding the decision to sell the items

    Patrick Swayze's wife Lisa Niemi has sold several items of memorabilia from the actor's career, including the leather jacket that the star wore in which was recently bought at an auction in Los Angeles for an incredible £48,270 ($62,270) by a Hollywood memorabilia collector.     Speaking to about the decision to auction the items, Lisa said: "No matter what, it's still a letting go. There's always a little bit of loss associated with that. While it's a very positive thing to do, it's a difficult thing to do. I'm such a lucky woman to have had a man who loved me as much as Patrick did." However, Patrick's niece Danielle Swayze revealed her unhappiness at the auction, telling : "These were family heirlooms. It's a slap in the face that she's selling these precious memories."

    Lisa opened up about hte auction

    Lisa remarried in 2014 after Patrick tragically passed away in 2009. The pair had been married for 34 years, and Lisa opened up about his death just a few months later during a talk in California. She said: "No relationship is perfect, you hang in there and you don’t give up. And of course you are going to have bad times. I would be with Patrick a million times over if I could — warts and all... My regret is that I didn't tell him that I loved him enough over that entire 34 years." In an interview with she said: "We told each other we loved each other over and over again. I never left the room without telling him. It still didn’t feel like enough."
